I lived in Montreal for over 9 years and never once did I visit Beaver Lake. I’ve since moved away, and six years later, I visited Montreal this past summer and took in the majesty that is Beaver Lake. A lake on a mountain! Gorgeous!

TRAVEL THURSDAYS: HIGHWAY 400 NORTH
This summer, as we were driving on the 400 North going from Toronto to Sudbury traffic just stopped. The highway turned into a parking lot and confusion rang high. But lucky for us, we were driving a 30 ft motorhome. So as most people were wondering what was going on, we were able to climb to the roof where we had the best view around. Turns out a U-HAUL caught on FIRE! The entire truck was destroyed and all we could see was a huge cloud of black smoke. Scary stuff. No one was hurt, but we were stuck for over an hour.

Seriously folks…how disgusting is this??? This was at a lookout point at Mont Royal. There was a tourist wanting to get her photo taken, but she was too afraid of the raccoons. Her friend exclaimed exasperatedy “Don’t worry! They are not savages!”. Oh i beg to differ. THEY ARE MOST DEFINITELY SAVAGES!

Halifax: A land of concrete parking lots reserved for tall ships. Where property is guarded by wild hipster dogs and where VHS tapes are protected by Pirates.
A must on any adventurer’s itinerary.
